As 2022 begins, we are all in different spaces in our lives. I encourage everyone to check in on loved ones and even people you may not know but see in passing in your day to day. The 2021 Holiday Toy Drive was a huge success. This year we partnered with The Urban League of Essex County and were able to collect over 60 toys to donate to the kids. The charity of choice this year was Wynona's House of Essex County. They are a child advocacy center that promotes justice and healing for child victims of abuse and neglect in Essex County. With this cause being near and dear to our hearts, we knew this was the best place for all the toys to go! Click the picture below to see more pics
To our surprise, in December 2021, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, gifted us 150 tickets to the Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic which was backed by Michael B. Jordan and many other people. We were fortunate to be able to giveaway all 150 tickets and we had a blast. This was an HBCU double-header men's basketball game held at the Prudential Center. This was not just a basketball game, this was an experience. There were information tables, a half time show performance by Cordae, Live band performances, celebrity appearance by Michael Rainey Jr and much more. As some of the kids noted, this was something they would remember forever. Click the picture below to check out some more pics from the event!
The 2021 Book Bag Drive and Basketball Skills & Drills Clinic was sponsored by ConnectOne Bank through a campaign with RightGift. We also received monetary and supply donations from various people. This year we had @awesomeliyou and @LJ_Sockin_it_2_u , two child entrepreneurs, donate giveaways for the event. We would like to thank, Lincoln Park and Hudson County Parks and Recreation for allowing us to utilize the park for the event as well as everyone who played apart in making sure this day was a possible.
